Baltimore: The Seven Sisters
On to Baltimore. There is a stretch of road talked about in Baltimore that is fun to drive on and it is sought after by both Auto and motorcycle enthusiasts. It's called the seven sisters. It actually came up in a recent discussion with Dave as to its exact location because he had always heard it was in one place and I in another. So we did some checking and the general consensus seems to agree with me. The seven sisters is located on Harford Rd. in Baltimore County just past Cub Hill rd. here
The other location that Dave said was nearby in Loch Raven Reservoir. We think the confusion arose because the locations are so close together and people wern't sure exactly where it was so they thought hey this curvy road must be it.

Any idea how the name came about? I've driven it hundreds of times in my car and on my bike but have never known why it is called Seven Sisters. By the way... it's on Harford Rd.
Actually, I think it is only Harford Rd for a short bit then it goes onto Factory Rd. I’ve grown up around this road. My aunt and I used to drive it all the time. I was always told it was called that because it has 7 really tight turns in a rather short distance. It was one of the only roads that went up to Fallston back then. I still love driving it.
Whats the myth behind the name seven sisters
